We can demolish every deceptive fantasy. that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought. and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.
2 Corinthians 10:5
When our children were small, my husband used to tell "Knock knock" jokes. Even though he would repeat the same joke over and over, our children would laugh and want him to tell it again!
One of the jokes he told often was, "Interrupting Cow."
It goes like this:
"Knock knock."
"Who’s there?"
"Interrupting Cow."
"Interrupting cow who?"
"Moo!"
Every time our kids would say, "Interrupting cow who?" my husband would interrupt them with a loud "Moo!"
And more giggles would erupt.
An "Interrupting Cow" Moment
I was looking for answers for destiny and purpose. praying and "trying" to listen to God, yet at the same time distracted by all the emotions I was experiencing. I felt discouraged and oppressed by the weight of life. My thoughts were screaming that I was alone, unworthy, and undisciplined. Self-blame and fear of "what’s next and how do I navigate it" overwhelmed me, leaving me tired.
I determined I would not let the negative thoughts consume my day. I had to take charge, and only knew one thing. I had to call on God.
I cried, "GOD, You know what I don't know, and only You can do what I cannot do!"
Suddenly, I had an "interrupting cow" moment!
God said to me, "You are not broken!" That word surprised me,
No, my thoughts weren't about cows, but I KNEW God was speaking to me. His words arrested every other thought.
Have you experienced moments like that before?
We are faced with many challenges, whether they are within our families, relationships, with our children, or in our finances. Often, we focus on our difficulties, looking only with our natural eyes, becoming burdened by the heavy yoke of sin and the world. The cycle of repetitive thoughts, anxiety and pressure only increase until the spirit of fear and intimidation sets in to paralyze us, making us unable to be more or be effective.
It is in these moments that God Interruptions come. They demand that we take hold of the Word of the Lord. They recenter us to set our focus on Christ, beckoning us to taking our designated position as His children, "seated above with Christ." (Eph 2). It is the very moment where we must look to SEE in the realm of the Spirit, SEE what is in the heavenliness made available to us through Christ, so we have the clarity and discernment we need to take a stand.
Taking captive our thoughts, is choosing to make every thought subject to God's Word. It is an act of our will to surrender our thoughts, by allowing His thoughts to take precedence.
"We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments." 2 Corinthians 10:4
Let God interrupt you. Let His thoughts supersede any other thought!
On that day, God interrupted me. He turned my disappointment into an appointment with Him. He gave me new vision to see the lies I had been believing, and impart His Truth into the situation. He took me out of confusion to experience LIFE, and heavenly perspective!
KEYS TO OVERCOMING
Allow or dis-allow, you get to choose
The enemy will try to convince you through lies that you are broken, at fault, not good enough, a failure, or unworthy—anything you will listen to. Allow Holy Spirit to breakthrough. He is the revealer of TRUTH. You do not have to live broken and bleeding . You have been made whole by the blood of Jesus Christ!
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36
There's a reason the enemy is called the father of lies—he is constantly trying to deceive. These lies can only take root if the door is left open for him to enter.
Ultimately, we have the power to allow or disallow what goes into our heart and mind. We have the authority to bind and loose heaven's authority over our lives.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matt 18:18
What you allow and disallow into your life matters!
Make Declarations; Choose LIFE
Take the truth you receive and speak it out. I declared back to God, “I am NOT broken”. I will not live as though I am broken, I will not believe I am broken. The enemy cannot lie to me and tell me I am broken!
The Word is filled with promises to declare. The power of your tongue, what you choose to say, brings LIFE or DEATH. Choose LIFE!
Scripture you can declare right now;
God has put in me everything I need for life and Godliness - 2 Peter 1:3
I am a child of the most high God - John 1:12
I am chosen, appointed and anointed for such a time as this - John 15:!6
I have the favour of God - 2 Corinthians 1:21
No weapon formed against me will prosper - Isaiah 54:!7
Gods promises are Yes and Amen
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." 2 Corinthians 1:20
You have promises of God, but they are often forgotten because of self-pity, or discouragement. Remind God of those promises! He has already said it is "Yes and Amen!"
God's plans are to prosper you. You have the authority through Christ to live in abundance. Choose to stand up and not give in. "Capture, like prisoners of war, every thought. and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One." ( 2 Cor 10:5b ) Stand firm, make an announcement into the Spirit realm that every promise of God for you will be fulfilled in your lifetime!
Let the song of the Lord rise up!
God interrupts with songs.
The song I received, as I meditated on the Word, "You are not broken" was one from years ago. I had not sung it for a long time. It was not a song I sang regularly, so I knew that it was
God speaking to me.
"I will arise and go forth
In the name of the Lord Of Hosts
For He has conquered every foe
By His Name, by His Name
I will declare, "He is the Lord"
I will trust and not be afraid
I will arise and go forth
By His Name” (by Rob Evans)
God may speak through a song, scripture or picture: When He brings the thought to mind, it is your hope. Be assured, God is speaking, so let the song rise up in you!
Keep moving forward; Your steps are ordered
When I don't know what Holy Spirit is saying or what steps to take, I do what I do know. I wait confidently for the Word to come, knowing that when I submit to Holy Spirit, He will speak to me.
Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:9
When you don’t know what to do, keep moving forward. Don’t stand still!
Be active in what you do know. Keep reading the Word, keep pursuing the presence of the Spirit. You are activating faith as you keep focused forward. God will show the way. He will bring breakthrough against everything thought that is contrary to the Word and will strengthen you to take charge of your day!
God is raising an army of believers who will;
Allow Holy Spirit to illuminate their minds with truth
Discern and Dis-allow the lies of the enemy
Live as overcomers
CHOOSE to stand
Will you let Him interrupt your day?
